Behind the camera
I'll admit— I love technology. It's worked wonders over the past decade and has connected us in ways never imaginable to those who have come before us. The downside? We think we can't live without it. We've allowed technology to consume our daily lives from sunrise to sunset. My goal as a photographer is to change that. I strive to capture God’s magnificent creation through landscape photography. My hope is that my work will motivate those around the world to put technology on the sidelines for a day, or even for a few hours, and enjoy the beauty that lies outside of our comfort zone.
I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master in Professional Accounting. During the day, I work as a financial analyst for a Fortune 1000 company that provides residential and commercial services. With my free time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, music, and watching movies.
One of my favorite quotes comes from Chuck Palahniuk:
"The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because it's only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stones crumble. Wood rots. If you do that, you can change the way people live their lives. And that's the only lasting thing you can create."
So, open the door. Embrace nature. And enjoy life.
